This is where Sun Glazing began. Founded in 2006 as an ancillary to MERO, the German facade specialist, the company carried out factory fabrication, assembly and structural-sealant glazing of curtain-wall panels to MERO's shop drawings for Hyderabad's new international airport.
At 7,50,000 sq ft, the airport remains the largest single project area in the portfolio — and it was the company's very first. The terminal carries sloping unitized curtain wall, ACP cladding and steel sub-structures, with highly challenging fusiform skylights and ultra-thick 40–50 mm glass insulating the building acoustically from the runway.
Then there is the ATC tower — an icon in reverse-conical form, a big installation challenge, executed flawlessly.
The same MERO relationship carried the young company through the Novotel at the airport, Deloitte, the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, and Ascendas International Tech Park in Chennai.
