DSR Tech Park is the work of Chakrapani & Sons, the celebrated architecture firm, and its elevation is built around a series of cut-outs in the facade — a composition that makes the building unmistakable in the Financial District. Aluvision Facade Solutions consulted on the envelope for DSR Group.
Behind that elevation: 16,000 Sqm of unitized curtain wall, 8,000 Sqm of ACP wall and soffit cladding at the cut-outs, an asymmetric fin design, and 5,000 Sqm of further elements — expanded mesh and perforated sheet, sleek glazing and stone cladding.
The envelope was validated by a full performance mock-up at Eminent International Testing Centre, an NABL-accredited laboratory: 12 tests, including static and dynamic water penetration, seismic testing, structural loading at 150% of design load, and BMU testing.
At the terrace, the wall carries one of the largest unitized panel sizes in the country — 3 m wide and 4.05 m high, for one of the most expansive views in the world of facades. Panels of 700 kg, installed with ease at a height of 250 feet, on the strength of a robust structural design and a foolproof installation methodology.
