Preston Prime

India's rarest facade qualification, built here — a suspended cable-net glass wall on prestressed SS316 cables.

The project

Preston Prime holds the only suspended cable-net glass facade in our portfolio — one of very few built in India, and among the rarest qualifications in facade work. A single-layer bidirectional net of prestressed SS316 cables spans the mall frontage, with customized patch fittings engineered for the facade's complex angles; the scope takes in the cable-net spider glazing, ACP cladding, a glass canopy and a few other miscellaneous items.

Every panel is a 31.52 mm laminated double-glazed unit, carried entirely by the tensioned net. The net was analysed in SAP2000 with hardware maker Kinlong — and every column and beam of the host structure was surveyed, floor by floor, before fabrication began.
